Terrence Aratani, Chief Executive Officer

“Terrence came to KHC after over 25 years of government service at the Legislature and the Hawaii Insurance Division. He served approximately five years on the board of directors of Waikiki Health. As an attorney for the insurance division, he was instrumental in establishing its health insurance section which since its inception has been protecting patients’ rights. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa (B.S.), Pepperdine University School of Law (J.D.) and Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M.). He currently sits on the board of directors for Honolulu Community Action Program, Liahona Youth Empowerment and the Hawaii State FCU. ”

Bryan Talisayan, Chief Operations Officer

Bryan is a highly motivated professional, who, first and foremost is driven by a passion to serve disenfranchised communities not welcome by the traditional health care and social service delivery system in Hawai`i. As a product of Wai`anae, he’s particularly drawn to rural communities or communities who are traditionally unwelcomed by mainstream health care. These include those who are severely mentally ill, unsheltered men, women, and children; migrants without access, and others faced with a variety of barriers to the realization of improved health outcomes and quality of lives.
He has twenty years of Community Health Center direct work experience, 15 of which in leadership positions. Specific areas of operations include program development, design, and evaluation competencies as a progressive and transactional leader with a strong record of team development, retention, and satisfaction. Demonstrated leadership skills with a demonstrated record of fostering cultures of change, environments of satisfaction, and key coordination of multi-disciplinary management teams. Significant emphasis is placed upon delivering results, improved outcomes, and an environment thriving on organizational commitment.

Naty has been in the health care industry for 48 years. She has received her Nursing Certificate at the Queen’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 and then went on to the University of Washington where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1968 and accreditation as a Family Nurse Practitioner along with her Master of Science in Nursing in 1976. Naty has worked as a R.N. in a variety of settings – hospital, private practice, school & health center. Naty was one of the grant writers for Ko‘olauloa Health Center’s 330e initial grant.
