Allison Higa-Howerton, PA-C

Allison Higa is a Physician Assistant in Family Medicine at Ko'olauloa Health Center. On Fridays she sees patients in the clinic, but her commitment to the North Shore community extends well beyond the exam room. She contributes to impactful grant programs including Diabetes Prevention and Blood Pressure Monitoring, participates in homeless outreach events, serves as the clinical superuser for KHC's Electronic Health Record system, and actively engages with community partners including Kahuku High School, the Department of Health, and the Hawaii Primary Care Association.

Born and raised in Mililani, Allison considers herself adopted into the North Shore ʻohana — a transition she embraces with genuine affection. She has witnessed firsthand how the community rallies together in times of hardship, including the Waialua flooding, and is inspired daily by the strength of its family bonds and the easy grace of life near the ocean.
