Health Campaigns
Each year our team creates a set of community health campaigns with a set of specific goals in mind. 2023 is no different.
This year’s Ko’olauloa Health Center’s campaigns are designed to increase awareness 0f specific health conditions and to motivate our patients to take action in support of their personal health goals.
For 2023, our Ko’olauloa Health Center’s campaigns encourage our community to engage in healthy behaviors that will have long-term benefits.
Diabetes Prevention Program
Ko’olauloa Health Center is excited to offer the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program. This is a lifestyle change program that can help to prevent type 2 diabetes. The program is being offered for FREE for both Ko’olauloa Health Center patients and non-patient community members.
In the Diabetes Prevention Program participants will be with a group from the community. Led by our clinic’s dedicated team of trained lifestyle coaches, participants will learn the skills to make lasting lifestyle changes. They will learn to eat healthier, increase physical activity, manage stress, and stay motivated.

Koʻolauloa Health Center Pharmacy offers their patients: shorter wait times for medications; one-stop convenience with the pharmacy co-located at Koʻolauloaa Health Center’s Kahuku Clinic right next to the hospital; complimentary pill organizers and pill cutters; and of course personalized friendly service because you’re ‘ohana.
Yearly Physicals
When you hear the word “physical,” you may think of hanabata days when you had to visit the doctor to get shots for school. But a physical is more than just shots or a physical exam. And both children AND adults can benefit from attending regular physicals.
You may feel fine, but catching problems BEFORE they become serious means:
Finding a problem when it is easier to treat (such as diabetes, heart disease, or cancer). Saving you money. Potentially saving your life.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
The most up to date bivalent booster vaccines are specifically designed to protect against the original COVID-19 and Omicron subvariants. These booster vaccines are available for free regardless of health insurance status.
Bivalent booster vaccines are available for those who are 6 months and older who: 1) Completed their primary vaccine series at least 2 months ago, 2) Received their 1st or 2nd booster at least 2 months ago. Learn more by viewing this campaign.
