CLINIC LIAISON

April Aʻalona

April A'alona serves as Clinical Liaison at Ko'olauloa Health Center, where she bridges the worlds of clinical care and organizational operations. Her work spans a remarkably wide scope — providing day-to-day operational support, overseeing laboratory and vaccine compliance, and managing the reporting responsibilities that keep KHC accountable to the state and its key stakeholders. In a community health center, that kind of connective work is often invisible to patients but essential to everything running well.

April's love for the Ko'olauloa community is personal and deep-rooted. She is drawn to the way everyone here seems to know — or be related to — everyone else, and to the electric energy that fills community gatherings when people come out in force to cheer on their kids. That spirit of collective pride and belonging is something she understands firsthand.

Outside of work, April pursues a passion that is both personal and beautifully suited to a place like the North Shore: researching her family history and tracing the connections between people living in the same community across generations. When she is not following those threads through time, she treasures every moment spent with her son and his family.
