Bella Gary serves as Chief Operating Officer at Ko'olauloa Health Center, where she ensures that the people, services, and resources that make up KHC work in concert — every day, behind the scenes — so that patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care without missing a beat. It is the kind of leadership that is most visible when something goes wrong and most valuable when everything goes right.

What Bella loves about the Ko'olauloa community reflects the same instinct she brings to her work: a belief that people from different backgrounds and cultures are stronger together than apart. The North Shore's ability to hold that diversity with warmth — to be genuinely welcoming to everyone — is something she does not take for granted. 

Outside of work, Bella's world revolves around her children. She shows up for their sports events and cheers them on at the cultural workshops they help coordinate — a detail that says something about the kind of household she is raising. And when it is time to truly get away, she heads for open water, finding her reset on a cruise.
