Here is a simple wellness tip from our staff.
When everyday stress hits, try 4-7-8 breathing. Breathing is an essential act that requires no thought. But thinking about it can alter your physical and mental health. It can relieve stress and anxiety or help you wind down and fall asleep. Here’s how to do it:
1. Inhale through your notes for four counts.
2. Then hold that breath for seven counts.
3. Then exhale through your mouth (slowly) for eight counts.

Our friendly pharmacy team is ready to serve customers. Even if you are not a patient with us, you are still able to fill prescriptions at Ko’olauloa Health Center.
Unlike most retail pharmacies, Ko’olauloa Health Center makes medications affordable with a sliding scale for uninsured patients.
Ko’olauloa Health Center’s free consultation services by our friendly pharmacist include medication reconciliation — discussing each individual medication, what it is used for (indication), instructions for administration, how it works within the body, anticipated side effects, and most importantly, possible interactions with other medications you might already be taking.

Did you know that the the Top 3 cancers for men are Lung, Prostate and Colon? Early detection is key to thriving and surviving:
First colon cancer screens should be at age 45. Are you overdue?
Screen options include: stool tests, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, CT colonography.
Blood test for prostate cancer antigens starting at age 55 or if you have symptoms.
Talk to your doctor about frequent urination, weak/interrupted flow, discomtort urinating, blood in urine.
Share family history of cancer with your doctor.
