The sooner children begin getting regular dental checkups, the healthier their mouths will stay throughout their lives. Early checkups help prevent cavities and tooth decay, which can lead to pain, trouble concentrating, and other medical issues. Youngsters with healthy teeth chew food easily, learn to speak clearly, and smile with confidence.

Our Happy Halloween is tomorrow! Here are a few common sense Halloween tips from our Dental Department as your keiki head out to trick-or-treat tomorrow evening:

1. Don’t go batty for the candy! Of course, as your Ko’olauloa area dentists, we would prefer you not have so many sugary sweets. The key is moderation.

2. When in doubt throw it out! Make sure your keiki understands that no one eats any candy at all until back home. There it is best to empty your trick-or-treat bag on a table and overlook each piece. Anything that is open, damaged, or just odd looking should be thrown out.
