Our Values

Aloha ‘Ohana!

Every day, Ko’olauloa Health Center combines medical, dental, pharmacy services, and community outreach services into a single Ko’olauloa Health Home. We work hard to ensure individuals and ‘ohana living in rural areas, receive the care they need and deserve. KHC plays a critical role in reducing racial and ethnic, geographic, socioeconomic, and other health disparities in our community.

All of us at Ko’olauloa Health Center believe that health care should be a right, not a privilege. That is why we do everything in our power to ensure that all families in our community have access to the quality, affordable health care they deserve, and the peace of mind it brings.

Call us at (808) 293-9231 or visit www.koolauloachc.org if you have any questions about our services. Mahalo and see you at the Ko’olauloa Back 2 School Bash later this afternoon!

See You Soon!

Aloha ‘Ohana!

Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Ko’olauloa Back 2 School Bash this afternoon!

~ DETAILS ~

Our friends at Nurture Cultivate Hawaii (NCI Hawaii) are organizing a wonderful 2024 Koʻolauloa Back 2 School Bash, which will be taking place this afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hauʻula Elementary School. This is a community celebration that engages ʻohana in ‘āina-based education while honoring Native Hawaiian culture and traditions.

This year’s event promises a day full of fun activities including ʻono food booths, arts & crafts, games, health resources, and live music for all ages, as well as opportunities for ʻohana to engage in immersive experiences that honor Native Hawaiian traditions and values. Additionally, the event supports Koʻolauloa entrepreneurs by providing a platform to showcase their products and services, helping to generate additional income streams and fostering a resilient, self-sustaining local economy.

With approximately 3,355 students from preK to grade 12 attending the six schools in our Koʻolauloa moku, including five Title 1 schools, this event is essential in addressing the needs of our underserved, low-income communities, providing vital resources such as free backpacks, slippers, and other school supplies to ease the financial burden on ʻohana as they prepare for the new school year.

To make this event a success, we are seeking both monetary support and in-kind donations to help cover various costs and enhance the experience for our attendees. Ko‘olauloa Health Center is proud to be a supporter of this year’s Back 2 School bash. If you or the organization that you work with are able to support this event please visit NCI Hawaii’s website (www.ncihawaii.org). Supporting this initiative, potential sponsors and partners can significantly impact the well-being and educational success of our students and ʻohana.

Mahalo and we’re looking forward to seeing you today!

Affordable Rx

Aloha ‘Ohana!

Did you know anyone can get prescriptions filled at KHC’s Kahuku pharmacy?

We might be able to save you money, too! KHC patients can be eligible for discounts and we have sliding scale pricing for the uninsured.

Our friendly pharmacist offers free medication reconciliation — discussing each individual medication, what it is used for (indication), instructions for administration, how it works within the body, anticipated side effects and most importantly, possible interactions with other medications you might already be taking.

We also have complimentary pill boxes and cutters, if you need them.

Give us a call at 293-9231 if you have any questions or would like to setup an appointment. You can also learn more at: www.koolauloachc.org.
